Social Anxiety

If you fear meeting new people or believe others are watching and judging you in social situations, you may benefit from working on social anxiety. I help clients feel less anxious and more comfortable with tasks such as meeting new people or speaking in public.

Many clients come to me because they worry that everyone is looking at them or thinks they look nervous. These clients have been avoiding social situations because they dread how it makes them feel. When the fear of social situations is much greater than the actual threat, therapy can help create meaningful change.

In my time as a therapist, I have seen social anxiety greatly increase. I don’t believe this is a random occurrence. I attribute this rise to the increase of technology in our lives, which has made people less comfortable with face-to-face human interaction.
